On this day in 27 BC Octavian became the first emperor of Rome, and took the name Caesar Augustus. On this day in 69 AD Roman legions in Germany refused to renew the oath of allegiance to Emperor Galba. On this day in 138 AD, Caesar Aelius died. Pertinax became emperor this day in 193 AD. Festival of Juno occurred on this day.
