	Major Happenings: On this day in 64 AD Saint Peter, the apostle of Jesus Christ, was executed in the gardens of Nero at the foot of Vatican Hill (traditional date and story. Both date, place, and method are unknown).  He was supposedly crucified head downward at his own request. On this day in 67 AD Saint Paul, one of the greatest preachers, writers, and organizers of the early Christian church was executed on the Via Ostia three miles from Rome (date uncertain).
